An Introduction of Myself
I have now decided to update my blog with animations! I'll start out by telling you a little about myself.
My name is Jaminder (Jami) Gill, and I'm a 3D Animator! I'm taking a course at The Center for Arts and Technology in Kelowna and am finally on my final term! After this, I get kicked out and get to run a muck trying to find a job! Anyway, I would go into what I look like, but that's unnecessary. I'm 20/Male/Canada (a/s/l), just so you know that much!
I'm currently working on my Demo Reel, I've been working on it for what seems to be ages now. I can't really say when I officially started, but I can assure you there have been many revisions and I've finally got it pieced out as to how it'll turn out. I'll give the gist to what it is about:
A man is running late for something important, and misses his bus. He assures himself he'll catch the next one when he meets an Old Lady who is sobbing on the Bench. Offering to help to kill some time, events become a chain reaction where he must help this troublesome lady and catch the bus before he's late!
That's the main idea, and it has drastically changed from what its original intent was. Originally, the Man was supposed to be an impatient, raging, angry person who missed the bus, and the bus had its own character. It was supposed to be Man vs Automobile but since it was my first animation idea here, and looked upon by many, it seemed this wouldn't work out. Giving a Bus a characteristic. We thought of the Bus Driver but ditched the whole idea. We added something else that we thought would work out better. After idea's and brainstorming with fellow classmates and instructors, we came to the idea the Old Lady would be an obstacle that stalls or messes up the plans of the Man. The Man, I named Robin Phong (A joke between a classmate and I because he's a Phong Material) has changed to a serious, but gentle and willing person who will help people if he has the time. The Old Lady was debated to be some Old Lady who shows up everyday to trouble people. Or some crazy Lady that gets a kick out of seeing people aid her. Anyway, I do hope to post up my 2D Lieca. Be warned my drawings aren't amazing or great so...look out!
